PINK: right letter, right place. BLUE (striped): in the word, wrong place. GREY: not in it.

As you type, your row SHIMMERS if it fits every clue so far and turns SOUR if it breaks one.

Every pink lights a beam. With the sound on, each one also brings in a layer of the music, and each board plays on its own chip cartridge.

SCORING: 600 for each board you clear, plus a row bonus: 400 in one row, 250 in two, 100 in three. The clock starts at YOUR GO: after 20 seconds it bites, 3 points a second (300 at most). Perfect score: 3000. Time breaks ties.

STUCK? HINT flashes a right letter in its place, for 20 points (two a board). And if you run out of rows, GuffBot sometimes gives you a BONUS CHANCE.

Unused rows carry to the next board as spares. Your answer becomes GuffBot's first guess on the next board.
